Today is our first day at SMA Pradita Dirgantara. The flag ceremony started at 6:30 am, so we went to school earlier than the said time. After the flag ceremony, we had our breakfast in the school's dining room then we went back to the teacher's room. The teacher's room was excellent and spacious. We have our own space which I think is very important because the spacial attribute of the room allows work to be more conducive. 

 

At around 10 am we went to Sebelas Maret University, our host university, to register in the International office. There we met our buddies, Christian and Fitri. They were also exchange students from last August 2017 and Christian was assigned to my home university! What a surprise! Christian and I talked about Saint Louis University and how he misses the teachers and the places he visited in Baguio.

SMA Pradita Dirgantara offers a variety of extra-curricular activities. One of the extra-curricular activities that they have is the English Club. The students who are interested to learn and improve their English speaking skills are welcome to join this club.

 

Since English is a foreign language in Indonesia, not all students can speak or understand English. Every Mondays and Wednesdays, the students and English teachers gather at the lobby. The activity starts at 7:30 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. Students are given various activities that can help them learn and improve their English.

 

We were given the chance to facilitate the activity today. First, we introduced ourselves and entertained their questions. After that, they also introduced themselves and we asked them questions too. We let them play a game in which their classmates will describe something and the other students should guess what is being described.
